European election 2019

It’s fair to say May’s 2019 Euro elections weren’t the easiest time to be a Labour candidate. But I found, whatever their views on Brexit, people were prepared to engage and discuss the issues on the doorstep. And I thought we had a good case to make: if we’d elected more Labour MEPs we might have a socialist Commission President now. It was also a pleasure to be part of a great Labour team of candidates headed up by Jackie Jones, who is now our MEP.
